MarkFlow is a local-first application. This policy explains what data we handle, what we never touch, and the choices you have.
MarkFlow stores all notes and documents as plain Markdown files in folders you choose on your own computer. Your documents are never uploaded, synced, or transmitted to us or any third party. There is no MarkFlow account and no MarkFlow cloud.
We collect as little as possible:
Purchases are processed by Creem, our merchant of record. Creem handles your payment details, invoicing, and sales tax/VAT compliance. We never see or store your credit card information. Creem's handling of your payment data is governed by their privacy policy.
License codes are delivered by email via Resend. The only personal data in these emails is your email address and your license code.
MarkFlow's AI writing assistant is optional and uses your own API key. When you use AI features, your selected text is sent directly from your Mac to the AI provider you configured (e.g., OpenAI, DeepSeek). We are never a party to that traffic — requests do not pass through our servers.
We keep your email address and purchase record for as long as needed to honor your perpetual license and provide support. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@markflowkit.com (deleting your purchase record may affect our ability to re-issue your license code, so we recommend keeping your license code safe).
MarkFlow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and the current version will always be at this URL.
